单 = Shan. This is my wife’s family name in China. She uses my family name in Australia and so I am honoured to use her family name for my Chinese name. In China, the family name comes before the given name.

楷瑞 = Kǎi Ruì. This is my given name. Kǎi means “Model” (as in role model, example, mentor). Ruì means “Auspicious” (as in lucky, prosperous, promising).

I’m Priya Sood, a Post Graduate and an ex flight Stewardess. Mother of 2 young kids.
Fresh out of University I decided to apply as a flight stewardess for domestic airlines, as I wanted to discover the world on my own merit. For the sake of travel I soon moved to international airline.
While moving Countries I was faced with a dilemma should I continue working as a flight stewardess or look for career change all together.
I decided the latter, my biggest apprehension: would I, a cabin crew be accepted to finance industry? Working as a mortgage broker is my another silver lining. Two things I have learned in this industry-
1. Look after your customers and they will look after you.
2. Under Promise and over deliver

I was growing up in a very different environment, it was very safe , yet narrow in terms of free think or speech. I played sports from early age onwards which was helping me to develop more confidence, strength to my body and learned the value of team meaning.
As a single child my team was very important to me.
