Fresh out of University I decided to apply as a flight stewardess for domestic airlines, as I wanted to discover the world on my own merit. For the sake of travel I soon moved to international airline.
While moving Countries I was faced with a dilemma should I continue working as a flight stewardess or look for career change all together.
I decided the latter, my biggest apprehension: would I, a cabin crew be accepted to finance industry? Working as a mortgage broker is my another silver lining. Two things I have learned in this industry-

I have friends and family living in China and my wife is Chinese. We are always exploring business opportunities which span our two great countries and cultures. My Chinese connections have kindly bestowed on me the Chinese name of 单楷瑞.

单 = Shan. This is my wife’s family name in China. She uses my family name in Australia and so I am honoured to use her family name for my Chinese name. In China, the family name comes before the given name.

楷瑞 = Kǎi Ruì. This is my given name. Kǎi means “Model” (as in role model, example, mentor). Ruì means “Auspicious” (as in lucky, prosperous, promising).
